Outstanding leadership of Late Mr. Thomas Wilfred led to the rapid advancement in business which necessitated expansion and diversification. Duty free retail was established in Fujairah Airport, followed by Duty free retail shop in Fujairah Sea Port, While the airport duty free lease was transferred, we still continue to operate the sea port duty free shop. Later another retail shop was established in Dibba (Royal Beach Hotel).

Our flagship retail operation is under the name of Desert Trading Corporation was established in the year 1993 in the city of Muscat - Oman. Today it is the leading retail organization within the group with over 8 shops and a significant market share in the Oman market. Total of 8 retail shops are being operated in Oman. 1 shop in the city of Salalaha and the rest 7 shops are in the capital city of Muscat. Recent addition to the retail will be the shop inside private community of Muscat Hills.

DTC has carved its niche in the overall market share of the alcohol retail in Oman. Also a top supplier for various institutions such as the Military clubs and for the restaurants inside the prestigious Royal Opera House. DTC also has a strong presence in the On-Trade segment of hotels, bars and pubs. Company also takes pride in supplying Oman Air where two of our own brands are being served on-board.
